El Dordo Hills
Founded by cris steller, dry diggings distillery is a small family-owned and operated craft distillery in the sierra foothills of northern california.
Today we proudly produce rubicon rye whiskey, engine 49 spirits, bodie 5 dog single malt whiskey, and a diverse collection of vodkas, gins, brandies, whiskies under our own labels, as well as private label spirits for others.
For Cris, the goal was never simply to make spirits.
It was to build a place rooted in quality, honesty, history,
and the simple idea that great things happen when families create something together.
That vision has continued to grow with the opening of
Hills
Our full-service cocktail bar and restaurant located within the distillery.
Here, our Bartenders bring our spirits to life through thoughtfully
crafted cocktails, seasonal food, and genuine hospitality.
For us, success isn't measured by the number of bottles we sell.
It's measured in the conversations around the table, the friendships that begin over a cocktail, and the memories people take home with them.
If our spirits can bring people together, even for an evening, then we've accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

Off the Beaten Path,
If you're asking "Is this really here?"
you're getting close.
From Highway 50, take Latrobe Road...
Directions (from Interstate 50)
From I-50 either direction, take the Latrobe Road exit (not directly Robert J. Mathews).
Head down Latrobe Road until you pass White Rock Road.
Continue until you reach Business Park #3 / Golden Foothill Pkwy — you’ll see Tractor Supply Company as a landmark on the corner.
Turn right into Golden Foothill Pkwy at that Business Park entrance.
Immediately after turning in, take the first turn left onto Robert J. Mathews Pkwy.
Drive down Robert J. Mathews Pkwy. On your right you will see a field — count one driveway past that field.
Pull into that driveway. Your building is the second one back from the road, and you’ll recognize it by the barrels lined up along the front, even though there is no external signage.
What folks are saying…
Hill restaurant is phenomenal, been coming here for awhile now and it never disappoints.
They really have perfected the dining experience.

Great place, one of the best kept secrets in EDH, tucked away in the Business park, worth finding, experiencing and ejoying!
Steve D,
Dry Diggings is one of those rare places that doesn’t need flashy marketing because the experience speaks for itself. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a genuine team that makes you feel like a regular, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth..
